Johnonville, TN 150th adPlease join General Grant, General N. B. Forrest,  and Federal and Confederate troops, as they participate in the 150th Anniversary of one of the most unique battles of the WBTS in the most unique Historical State park setting in America.

The Battle of Johnsonville was one of the extremely rare times in the History of War that a cavalry unit attacked and defeated a naval unit.  General N. B. Forrest commanded the attack that destroyed much of Sherman’s supplies for the Atlanta Campaign at the Johnsonville depot.

The battle is remembered (and the re-enactment takes place) at the only setting in the country where two state parks both honor the same battle, are opposite each other across the river, and are in the same state!

Participant info may be obtained by E-telegraph at: www.tnstateparks.com/parks/about/johnsonville
