General Grant and General Lee to Re-create the Surrender at Appomattox Court House National Historic Park, July 25-26

General Grant is pleased to announce that he and General Lee (portrayed by Thomas Jessee) will return to Appomattox Court House National Historic Park on the weekend of July 25-26th, to re-create the surrender of General Lee to General Grant.

These are the same Generals who re-created the surrender for the 150th anniversary in April of this year and are featured in the new Visitor Center film at Appomattox.  They will be joined by several members of Lincoln’s Generals portraying members of General Grant’s and General Lee’s staffs.

They will be in the park to meet visitors and make some scheduled presentations through the weekend.  They welcome any who may be able to come to the park and meet them.  They will be happy to talk with visitors and answer questions that may be asked of them.
