Please join General Grant, as he and General P. G. T. Beauregard, visit Shiloh National Military Park for extensive Living History activities in the Park on Saturday, April 2nd, and Sunday, April 3rd. Those activities will come to an end with a period church service at 10am, Sunday morning.
The Generals will come to the park after the annual ‘General’s Breakfast’ at Cherry Mansion in Savannah, TN, put on by Tour Hardin, the Hardin County Tourism Bureau. The ‘General’s Breakfast’ will be from 9am to 11am, after which tours of the Cherry Mansion will be given as part of the ticket cost of the Breakfast.
There will be Federal and Confederate encampments and a number of talks and demonstrations of soldier life in camp and on Campaign, including artillery fire.
This is the best opportunity to enjoy Shiloh and its History because it is the time of year when the battle was fought and one may see the fields and areas as they looked to the soldiers when THEY were here locked in the most savage battle of the War up to that time, and one of the most savage of the War.
Please join General Grant and General Beauregard (Larry McCluney, Jr.) and all of the dedicated re-enactors and park staff at Shiloh NMP for a great weekend of Civil War History! Visit and enjoy Shiloh and ALL of our National Parks! General Grant and General Beauregard support Shiloh NMP and all of our National Parks, you should as well!
