General Grant to be at Vicksburg National Military Park on July 4th.

General Grant will be on the ‘surrender knoll’ in Vicksburg National Military Park on Saturday, July 4th.  This will be the 152nd anniversary of the surrender of Vicksburg by General John Pemberton.

General Grant will be joined by General Pemberton (portrayed by Larry McLuney, Jr.) on the surrender knoll and they will discuss the terms of surrender during the day, talk with visitors and answer questions that the visitors may ask of him and General Pemberton.

General Grant urges all who may be able to attend to join him and General Pemberton in the park on that day.
