General Grant is pleased and honored to announce that he has been invited to speak to the monthly meeting of the General Forrest Chapter #1194, of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, on May 16th, instant. He is gratified to return to as a speaker to this distinguised group for the third time!
The General will speak on the topic “General Grant and General Lee: Magnanimity Between Gentlemen”. He will be addressing the exchange of notes leading up to the surrender of General Lee and their meeting in the McLean parlor.
