Join us for our next Civil War lecture for 2022 will be Thursday, July 28th at 7:00pm EDT.  Living historian Curt Fields will discuss the surrender terms at Appomattox. We are still meeting via Zoom for this season due to the construction of our ADA accessible addition but plan to be back at the Historic G.A.R. Hall in 2023!

About the Presenter

Dr. E. Curt Fields has portrayed General and President Grant in 22 states. As a living historian, Dr. Fields portrayed General Grant at the 150th Sesquicentennial observations of: Fort Donelson, Shiloh, Vicksburg, and Lee’s surrender to Grant at Appomattox Court House, VA. He also portrays General Grant in the Visitor Center film that is shown at Appomattox Court House National Historic Park and Grant’s Tomb in New York City.
