General U. S. Grant’s Headquarters of April 1865 to be Re-created at Appomattox Court House National Historic Place

General Grant, with his command staff portrayed by the group Lincoln’s Generals, will re-create his Headquarters with the Army of the Potomac as it appeared in April of 1865 at Appomattox Court House National Historic Place on April 19-20, 2014.

General Grant will establish his HQ in the yard beside the Wilmer McClean House.  He will be accompanied by his escort troops, support troops, and command staff officers.  The General and his staff will give talks to the visitors and be available for questions and discussions.  All who may be able to attend are requested to do so for this poignant look back into History.
