Please join us for a very special evening when we will be joined by none other than General Ulysses S. Grant himself, as portrayed by Dr. E. Curt Fields, Jr. Dr. Fields is recognized nationwide as the best “General Grant” in the country and is whom the National Park Service and Appomattox Court House uses when they need General Grant to be present, such as for the surrender anniversary events in April. This is certainly an evening you do not want to miss as General Grant will be discussing the final days at Appomattox Court House. As always, social hour kicks things off at 6pm followed by a buffet dinner at 7pm. At approximately 7:45pm General Grant will take the floor until the end of the evening. DINNER RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED! PLEASE CONTACT ME TO MAKE DINNER RESERVATIONS! LCWRT members pay $20 for dinner and the program; Non-members pay $25. Non-members, visitors, and guests are welcome to attend any of our meetings! If wishing to attend to hear the program only, the cost is just $5 for non-members of the LCWRT.
General Grant hopes that you will, if possible, join him when he speaks to the Lynchburg, Virginia, CWRT about the last few days before meeting General Lee at Appomattox Court House.
