General Grant to speak at the Unveiling of a Tennessee Civil War Trails Marker: “Hurst’s Raid at Barretville”

General Grant will speak at the unveiling of a Tennessee Historical Commission Civil War Trails marker at 2:00 pm, Friday afternoon, June 26th.  The marker describes the raid of Federal Colonel Fielding Hurst in Barretville, TN, during the Spring of 1863.    The address of the event is: 9043 Barret Road in Barretville.  Barretville is just outside of Memphis, TN.

There is no cost to attend and refreshments will be served after the ceremony.  Dr. Doug Cupples will also speak at the marker dedication.
