General Grant to Return to the Southwest Michigan Civil War Round Table on September 12th, 2023

General Ulysses S. Grant will speak to the Southwest Michigan Civil War Round Table in St. Joseph, Michigan, on the evening of September 12th, 2023.

The topic of General Grant’s talk will be “After Appomattox”.  The General will describe his activities at the surrender of General Lee and how the General personally took on President Andrew Johnson to prevent the arrest and trial of General Lee; which could have very likely sparked bloody results.
