General Grant will be at Johnsonville State Park in Tennessee on Saturday, November 2nd to help celebrate the observance of the great raid by CSA General Nathan Bedford Forrest in November 1864 on the supply depot at Johnsonville.   That raid was the only instance in history when a cavalry unit defeated a naval unit in battle.

The event is for both Saturday/Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  There will be a number of infantry and artillery units participating in one of the most unique state parks in America.  For more information regarding the event, please E-telegraph  superintendent Jerry Wooten at: jerry.wooten@tn.govFort Donelson reenactment, 2012 photo by Paul Schatzkin
